when it rains hard my drivers side is soaking wet and my trunk can it be the weather strip

Check the weatherstripping around the door. Also look to see if you find water dripping out from under the inner panel because the watershield layer of plastic under it isn't glued to the door any long in spots and it letting water come into the car rather than drip out the bottom of the door through the drain holes

My trunk leaked as well when it was brand new. I took it to the dealer and they removed the spoiler and sealed underneath it and then reinstalled and it hasn't leaked since. Does yours have a spoiler?
