Has anyone changed their bulbs to get brighter or "whiter" headlights. If so, any recomendations on which ones to buy?

Popular ones are Sylvania Silverstars. Very bright. A lot of member have them.

EDIT: I use Xenon bulbs for normal lights made by Wagner. They are cheaper, and they are a little bit brighter than stock.

9005/6 Silverstars or Cool Blues get the best results.

Or you can go as high end as HID lamps (the real deal)

I have the silver star low beam and piaa xtreme white for highs, it has made a huge a difference in night time highway driving. I also cleared the corners which gives them a nice clean look.

I love my PIAAs, highs and lows. Bright, white, and the dims have a blue dot in the middle when lit, gives em a blue eyed look.

I agree the Silverstars are great for the price (about 40.00 a pair) 9006st. Havent been able to find 9005st or 880st locally.

I Also agree to get silverstars but if you want a HUGE light improvement, get yourself some aftermarket Foglights. They come with 55watt H-3 bulbs and they are WAY brighter than my silverstar headlamps. I have the Hella Angle eyes, it is a 2stage lighting, does have the glowing ring, but if you don't like the ring theres several other brands that will work, Blazertech 2200 or 3200, Naviagot Cyber whites, and some others. You should be able to find any of those between Pepboys, Walmart, local car store. Price ranging form $40-60, not much more than two silverstar bulbs.

Don't get me wrong, silverstars are great, clean white light and little bit brighter, but don't expect a huge difference with them. 55 watt fog/driving lamps make the difference. I do have Silver stars everything, Even replaced the new H-3 in the hella kit a got with them for silverstars.

Oh, ya clear those corners too!

P-dad, In your pic I see you your corner amber bulbs aren't silver. Have you misted them with Silver spray paint? I tried it and works great, just let them dry for a day.

Gotta love the clear corners!!!! (clear tail pics coming soon)
