Problems w/pictures
Well, to start off I had a mechanic work on my car a few times in the last couple months and come to find out he messed the suspension and brakes. You think you can trust these mechanics but the best mechanic is always yourself. I always go over what I did twice and make sure all the bolts are torqued correctly. Well, on to the concerns...
First set:
The driver'* side rotor looks like it has been all scrapped up since I have had these problems, Does the rotor look like it needs to be replaced? Also, I am getting a loud grinding noise when the car is in reverse.
Second set:
I notice all this green lube that is everywhere. This happened awhile back and the mechanic said the cv axle was popping out and that is why all the grease is there. Also, he said that the bushings on the control arms are wearing out and need to be replaced. Hope these pictures help

looks like the band clamp are missing from the CV boots.
and it also looks like there was something in between the pad and the rotor that was gouging the rotor

nah you should be able to get some hose clamps that will fit on there and just tighten them down after you make sure there is still plenty of grease left inside, if not add a bunch

just have that one and the one on the other side turned and you will be fine also take some 220 grit sand paper and smooth down the faces of the pads. control arms are difficult to decided to replace or not by a picture. put a pry bar in between the control arm and the sub frame and see how much if any play is there. also if ya blow a ball joint your better off to replace the entire control arm or have a long fun fight with the rivets holding the old ones in.

think about it. you got told that by some one who sells and installs parts all day long and probably makes a commission off them as well. check and see if you have any play in the bushings or the ball joints and go from there
