water leak sourse located....

It seems like I found how water is getting into my car when it rains. It's coming from right under the passenger door speaker underneath the door.. Anybody else experience this and what's the fix?

Very common issue with your gen.

This is a sticky at the top of this page. Common Problems. Most of the solutions are in there as well. Hope that helps.

You will find additional information and probably pictures if you search in the 2000 section for water leak.

Two words, water deflector. You will have to remove the interior door trim panel. With the window up, door closed, pour some water on the outside of the window. Go around to the driver side of the car, open the driver door & look over at the passenger door. You will see the water running down through the passenger door. This will allow you to pin point the exact location of the leak through the water deflector. The water deflector is sealed to the door frame with a bead of black butyl sealant. The water deflector has more than likely pulled away from the butyl seal in that area allowing for water entry into the interior.
