What seems to be the problem? Do you need to replace it? Looking for a new one? making noise?

Hmmm...very strange thread.

I apologize for those last two posts. I don't know what went wrong but that was not what I was trying to get across. I'll try again. I replaced a front wheel bearing on my 2004 bonneville about 5 months ago. I got the bearing from a website called "auto parts direct to you" it cost $90 and was garunteed for life. I was also told to toque the hub nut to 118 ftlbs and use a new hub nut. I did not replace the nut but did torque to 118.They said the orig. torque value was to high and that was part of the reason they failed early.I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with wheel bearing failure or used the same co. I purchased my hub from? Also any info. on proper torque of the hub nut would be appreciated.I heard the torque specs. keep changing.thanks in advance.

Did you inspect the spindle when you replaced the hub? Did you pack the new barring real good? I'm not sure on the torque spec for a 04, my guide here goes up to 99, guess I better get that updated. The last speck I have here is 108 for the 99. Perhaps someone with a FSM will be able to look that up.
