Default tach and spedo gauges at 0

So i tried to look for similar items on here... maybe i just cant read, but i couldnt find anything... When i drive now, my gauges will frequently drop to zero and bounce back to their proper place (speedometer and tach). Sometimes they will actually stay at zero for about 30-90 seconds. I have no clue what could cause this. Thanks for any input!

i have a flaky tach caused by an intermittant Crank Sensor issue.. It doesnt affect my speedo, and never starts working again until the next start cycle...

to me it sounds like maybe you have an intermittant connection for teh data buss in the rear of teh cluster. try pushing in on the guages to see if it affects the symptoms, we have had a couple people with issues that the ribbon cable connector wasnt seated properly causeing intermittant IPC problems
