Default New springs and now noise when parking

Need some advise...I installed new front struts and strut mounts on my my car a month ago..and it was running fine except when hitting some potholes it kind of took them hard..So i decided to put new springs now when turning to park i get a popping/clunking noise..a read quite a few threads hear and it stated it can be the strut bearing and mounts so i replaced them also the steering shaft was lubbed still have noise when parking.

http://www.kyb.com/service/installationtips.php

I came across this on the KYB site and it stated "clock strut mount position" I neglected to make the markings so I'm wondering if I positioned something wrong..the bottom of the strut has a rubber where the spring sits on and a marking to position correct.. however the top of spring does not..The plastic slanted piece that sits on the rubber then on the spring I placed with the wider part toward the engine and the smaller slant toward the wheel..is this wrong?

Go get the front end aligned and see if that doesn't correct your problem. If your struts were that bad, you may have had things get misaligned. If that doesn't solve your problem then we may need to look at the upper spring retainer and how it was installed.

Thanks for the reply..I did take it to be aligned and they check it out for me but could not find the problem..they assumed it was a bad wheel hub..I emailed kyb and they replied with the info on setup position, and my problem was solved!...popping clunking noise is gone.
