More about POS window regulators
Well, last week another regulator on my 00 SSEI went out. Would have been another $500 but found a guy in Florida that rebuilds them for $200. In his opinion even after rebuild the GM design is not made to last. So in about a year or so I'll be replacing again. The thing that bugs me is a regulator not being a very complicated unit why won't GM re-engineer and offer a solution to this problem. They should-to make it right.
Anyhow, was wondering in anyone tried to fit a regulator off a different model Pontiac in the Bonnie. I don't think that Grand Prix'* i.e. had a regulator problem or any other GM vehicle. I like rolling the rear Windows down to get air without it being too cold or blowing too much. Any feed back let us know.

I haven't found any way around using the GM replacement regulator. If NAPA would start making a regulator, they would sell a ton of them!
The only decent price that I have found on them is through www.gmpartsdirect.com. They carry original GM parts, and sell them at GM wholesale price plus shjipping. I think the last regulator I bought was about $170 delivered. The part alone from the dealer was over $300.
