You will be taking a highly respected American Icon and turning it into a damn hoopty ride. There should be a law against doing that. Put the factory size wheels and tires on the car for that year and forget it.

265-30-22 - 28.3" dia
255-35-22 - 29" dia.
265-35-22 - 29.3" dia.

Your stock tire diameter is about 27". Any taller than that and you would probably rub the strut spring mount.

So it might be difficult to pick the 22" size because they are made for trucks that crave larger diameters.

You would be best to go with 20" wheels.
255 - 35 - 20 is 27." dia

Thats the same size rim and tire I run, 255/35/20. Its the biggest you can stuff in your fenderwells.
Any larger and you would have to lift the car. The blue bonne on Cardomain.com even says it had to be Lifted 1" ........too much hassle. Toss on 20's and call it a day.

:nonono:

dont go sarcastic, stay focused on the main subject.

I would like to put some 19" , for me thats the size i prefer, and then you lower the car just a bit with better shock. (if only i had the money.... anyway i love my chrome swoop 8) )

You might be on to something, while I do want to go that big I really don't wanna

A. waist money for 4 or 5 months out the year
C. out wear parts on a newly purchased car
C. buy expensive tires when the old ones wear

I might just take it down to 20's cause I'd hate to tear up something,

What will fit, 20's or 22's?? Be specific Gameover :!:

IMO go with 20's if you wanna go big. It would be more pratical.
