Default How do you take of?

How do you take off the shifter ****? I was told put it in 1st or 2nd and push the pin back...were is this pin? There was someplastic thing that looked like thats what there talking about but it won't move...Pics would be great!


Also how do you unplug the cig lighter so I can remove the plastic part??

there is a u shaped staple that you pull out , at the base of the handel (towards the dash), then the handle lifts off

I see it in your pics,

for the cig lighter , the outside barrel inside the plastic panel just unscrews from the inside piece you see from the outside.. confused yet?

That U shaped clip is in the first pic. looks like a tab almost in line with the red Levis tab on your pants. Pull that out.

got that part with the cig lighter for some reason lol

But I'm still confused on the dang plastic staple clip..

In the first pic theres that plastic peice thats hanging out a little bit...Close to the top, is that what your talking about? And what do I do just pull it out with some pliers?

if you aren't sure how to get the shift **** off, I wouldn't really attempt to pull the center console. I know you are trying to clean your carpet, but you will get frustrated.

got it off...It just didn't look like a pin at first ya know..

Hey Andrew question for you, remember how I talked to you about the carpet cleaners you use? Well I just thought my mom has this like shampoo carpet cleaner and vacumm, do you think that will do just as good of a job? Or go with the stuff you got?

that will probably work better if its small enough to get in the smaller spots
