tempermental hub? gearheads... (video included)

this weekend when i did my brakes, i examined my front driver hub and wss... that i thuoght was bad because it showed up non responsive on my tech2 scan..

well when i was down there, i noticed half of the plug end was worn off from rubbing on something, which i didnt notice when i connected it blinded by the wheel...

wss are not a closed circuit are they? billboost told me they throw out some sort of pulse to tell wheel speed... kinda like a bike speedo?

anyways.....i spliced in a wire between the connectors, so the connector wasnt even connected, but the current was... sorry no pics!

after taping it all up to keep it waterproof, i started the car and noticed all my dash warning lights were off... im thinking YES!!!!!! its fixed...

i back out of the driveway, and at the end of the driveway, dash dings, and they call come back..... on the test drive... they went off intermediately, and i slammed the brakes on and i had ABS!!!!!!!... then they dinged again and i had no ABS and all my lights...

my question is... the HUB's and WSS's cant be intermediate.. correct? its just the faulty jerry rigging right? so technically i should be able to get the correct connecter and clean it all up and have a fixed car instead of a used $50 hub

Its a low voltage signal not 12 volts, try soldering the wires for a more secure connection?
It does sound intermitent?

soldering would involve clipping the original connector off the hub end.. which is only 4 inches to start with... and then its permanent.... :?

ABS is being really funky lately...

today, i had the camera with.. and i snapped this video...

all the dash lights were off... felt weird!!

ABS would active at very low speeds with only half of the brakes applied

please watch this video (walmart parking lot, NO ICE)

this has to be the hub being bad right?
