Tech 2 codes

My check engine light came on, so off to the dealer I went ( I've got friends there).. I borrowed there TECH 2 and it came back with A I T / PCM. and UN5 code. By the time I was finished playing around, it was closing time so i had to leave without answers. Can anyone tell me what it might be. Also I just re-fabbed my CAI to work with my air to air intercooler and moved my AIT sensor way down farther, but the problem came before that. Any answer is a good answer

Cheers "TheKaddyKid"

Can't find a DTC like that in the book. It may be that the tech II was not communicating via the data link. UN5 looks more like an RPO code. Sorry this is not much help.

Yeah, if you can get what the actual code numbers, that would help.

Sorry guys, I'll try again tomorrow. I hope I have better luck this time

Yeah, those are not codes. The UN5 might be an RPO code but that is just an option build code, it has nothing to do with a trouble code...nothing at all.

Trouble codes should look like this but with different numbers and leters:

P0440
P1665
C1226
B1225

They will all start with a letter and end with four numbers, sometimes the first number is 0 but it is still part of the trouble code. Always include the 0.

Maybe he piped the intake air tube through the A/C evaporator core before it hit the throttle body?

Wow, I did'nt know I was dealing with a**holes in this forum. I've gotten flak for everything thing i've brought up in here lately. If you have all forgotten, it's a forum to help and aid other owner's of Bonnevilles....not to f*ckin put them down. For all your info it's just an air cooler. A scoop and air filter on one side, an NOS nozzle in the middle and the Air intake on the other. It was free and i've installed it, and it works great. It looks bitchin' as well. It hangs down just in between the fog lights. So in the future, if you all want to make a comment.....just keep it to yourself Thanx

woah there trigger....take a step back and cool down....what you have brought up have been questionable things that have needed clarification.....Typically an INTERCOOLER is to cool the boost charge before it enters the motor....since you have a vehicle that is naturally aspirated i dont see how that this can happen.....so in all reality its not a IC and should not be referred to one in the future......and the same with the HID kits that you mentioned...but that is not the topic here....

we as the club are NOT to put down other members....we want to make sure that every member has the best help possible to get there problem resolved quicky and with the less cost the better....i simply questioned the IC because when diagnosing a problem you need all the info that you can get....espically when not being able to see the car...in addition that is not a mod that is listed in your sig....please be as specific as possible and accurate when describing your mods to aviod confusion in the future
