Default Lug Nut Recommendations

Anyone have any recommendations for a replacement set of chrome lug nuts? I am not satisfied with the chrome lug nut covers.

I prefer the McGard, which can be found at my local Pepboys, for the following reasons:

1) The have some of the best locking nuts around.
2) The Chrome finish doesn't come off the second or third time you remove the nuts, even when using a impact.
3) They look great even after several winters. (No rust creeping out of the chrome)

Now that being said, you could probably get two sets of chinese lugs for the same price, and still get the same number of years as 'Good Looks'. (But thats not my style)

I agree, McGard'* are one of the best when it comes to wheel locks & lug nuts.

Thanks Guys I will pick up a set probably this week.

Freddi this pic is for you and your inspiration to paint my calipers. Which is also the reason I want to swap out my lug nuts. I agree quality wins every time. I will stop by the PEP Boys in Laurel, MD this week. The local Advance Auto did not have them when I stopped by on my way home from visiting my dad today.

It has been raining all weekend and I finally got the time to paint the calipers. Believe me I have been trying to find the time since July. Better late than never!

I agree with McGard'*. I replaced the stock plastic covers on mine with the chrome lug nuts on day two - what a difference and unique with the stock wheels.

Did you guys use the regular cone seat or the bulge cone seat?

The Red tipped ones look interestring but I would need to see a set before I bought them.

Found 3 packs of the lug nuts at Pep Boys today. Maybe next week there will be two more packs in stock. Not too bad of a price, $7.99 a pack.
