I am getting a creaking noise from the steering column inside the car when the wheel is slightly turned to the right. I took the covers off the column and I can hear where it is coming from, but I can't get to that area (in the center of the steering column). It sounds like something in the steering column is binding and needs lubricated.
Anyone else had this problem? Me and noises do not get along well at all, so this has to be fixed.

Creaking noise eh? Yeah I have that too. I believe it is the the strut mount on the driverside front.
I'm not saying it'* the same problem, but I have a noise that'* a creak and we have narrowed it to the strut.

When I took apart the steering column, I could hear it coming directly from the center of the column near the steering wheel. Since my posting, I read a TSB about his, which says it could be the horn contact or the spherical joint. I just have to get it apart to look at it closer. I am all but certain it is not the intermediate shaft.
