Default Intake Manifold Replacement

I recently replaced my lower intake gaskets and upper intake unit. When putting the upper manifold on, I forgot to put the PCV draft tube in. I noticed that when I took the old one off the tube was just sitting on top of the gasket, so it doesn't seem it like served much of a purpose before, and my car was running fine anyways, just leaking coolant externally. I now have it all back together, and she seems to be running great. Just wondering if it'* worth going through the hassle of taking everything back out to put that little tube in. The crankcase should still be venting, the gases just won't travel to the center of the manifold.
