IIRC, you just need to remove the top of the dash and replace the bulb. Anyone here have a 2k+ FSM?

I'm getting ready to convert all my outside lights over to LED'*. After that project, i plan on changing all my inside lights/dash lights over to LED. When you figure out how to change the bulbs, let us know what'* involved getting the dash apart to get to the bulbs if you could. Thank you.

This may sound a little counter intuitive but, when a few of my dash LEDs went out I gave it a few good smacks and they relit. This took a few trys as some would come back on while others did not. I felt like the Fonz. For reference, the dash is very easy to remove once you've removed the bezel. Other than the two pop-out pins that are directly above the gauge cluster, the whole bezel pops out with some gentle force. Start pulling below the AC controls The ring around the key will pop out on its own as you pull the bezel. Just remember to pull the two plastic pins from above the gauge cluster first. I've never put mine back. To pull the gauge cluster, there are a few spring tabs that you need to depress to release it. I pulled mine out, removed the back cover, then decided that it was not worth going any further. This is when I tried the smacking tecnique. I don't suggest this move for the radio though because the few lightbulbs in the radio are super sensitive to shock. I've replaced the three bulbs behind the display and I could see that a few of the smaller ones were out as well. Good luck.

Mine sure doesn't look like it. LED'* don't put out heat like incandescent bulbs do and i can feel the heat from the incandescent bulb(*) inside my foglight/dimmer switch housing. If our dashes were LED, why would they mix LED and incandescent bulbs throughout the dash? Doesn't make sense to me. And if they are mixed, i will unmix them and make them all LED, and since several different colors of LED bulbs are offered at Pep Boys and even online, i'd like to add some color to my dash. Like make the fuel gauge green and of course make the boost gauge blue.
