SSEi == Moonroof

I would check to see if your drains are working correctly. There are 4, IIRC...

Here'* what my manual (pg 8-1033 of 2001 fsm) says:
Drain Channel Inspection and Cleaning
A drain trough encircles the sliding panel and leads to the drain hoses. The drain hoses are located at each corner of the housing. The two front drain hoses route down the windshield pillars. The two rear drain hoses route down the rear sail and the quarter panels.

If you encounter a wet headliner or other water leak, inspect the following areas for the source of the leak:
* The windshield
* The rear window

Verify that the drainage system is not plugged or restricted. Use the following procedure:
1. Using a one pint container, pour water into the drain trough with the sunroof open.
2. Inspect for water drainage through holes.
3. If the water flow is restricted, use compressed air in order to clear the drain system. Do no blow the drain hose away from the housing drain spout.
4. Retest the system.

If water drips from the headliner above the door, lower the headliner as required in order to inspect for a proper drain tube connection. If necessary, reclap the tubes onto the housing drain spout.
The rear drains go into the trunk and then outside. You may also want to check the spare tire well for water once you find your problem so you don't end up with a rusted jack in the time of need.

Butyl seal on the water deflector is another possibility.

Chasman

Let us know what you find. I too have a moonroof on my 03 SSEi. Figure yours is awefully young to have a water leak. Seems like you are having as many bugs in yours as mine does.

BTW, swartlkk not all SSEi'* have moonroof'* if that'* what "SSEi == Moonroof" means. I kept finding the one'* without a moonroof when I was looking..

The water defelrctor is in the interior of the door under the interior door skin, it is not related to the sunroof drains or seals.

Thanks for clearing that up... I never knew that you could have an SSEi without the Moonroof. Never have seen one without it...
