Tach getting stuck
My wife called me to let me know that the tach was acting up. She said it was stuck up at 7k for some time although it was driving fine and definitely not grenading. She let it sit for a while, then it was moving, but it acted like 3500rpm was the 0rpm mark, going up from there.
My gas gauge is also acting up and has been for a long time now. A month ago or so I replaced the wiper on the sensor on the fuel pump as outlined in the tech info section. It didn't change a thing. The gauge will read whatever it wants except for the how much fuel is left in my tank.
I don't know if these problems are somehow related. I can live with these problems if it involves expensive fixes like ecm or instrument panel replacement. But if ya'll have any other ideas I'd appreciate the help.

If you have multiple gauges acting up, you may have a connection issue or an issue with the entire gauge cluster. Here'* some quick search info to look at.
If this doesn't help, use the search function for the site and you'll see that 'gauge cluster' reveals about 4 pages worth the posts' that have one or both words in them.

Its going to need a new Cluster. have it done at a shop or dealership that can have your current mileage programmed in.
We see alot of GM clusters going bad, you cant change any parts in them. we get around $325 for a re manufactured (with vin and mileage programmed) so Im sure you will be looking somewhere around that.

Thats what I feared. I guess I'll just deal with it until I can start making some decent money. Thanks for the input.
