Default Satellite Radio... best way to install

Hey all, I know some of you know more about taking your bonnie apart than I do. What would be your best recommendation to get that antenna on the roof? Where should I run the wires through to get to my dash?

Does your car have the overhead garage door opener buttons? You can tap into the orange wire for 12v positive and hide the wire along trim and the glass. Just tuck it in with a small screw driver, large lip back there will hide well.
I mounted my antenna on the vent on top of the dash, it sees up through the glass no problem and I live way north.
I mounted mine on the passenger side and use the remote control to change channels.

No, no garage door controls... and I live way down south so I really need the antenna to be on the roof.

Would it be best to run it throught the carpet to the trunk then up the rear window plastic trim?

How dirty of a job would this be?

I've got a XM Roady in my '99 and I ran the wires under the carpet to the trunk and used double sided trim tape to attatch the antenna to my back window.
The magnets on the bottom of the antenna will scratch the paint,if it gets moved around

To get under the carpet, should I remove any trim or pieces?

How about getting to the trunk, do I need to remove the back seat?

By the way, thanks for the tip on the magnet. Will use double sided tape!!

I have a Delphi XM Roady 2 in my car. I took apart the dash and hit the wires, running the wires under the dash to out the door, along the molding on the window/roof to the middle for the roof just above the rear windshield.

You dont have to mount the antenna on the outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it works just fine on the inside of the car!!! I had XM radio for 2yrs and all 2yrs my antenna was inside my car! not problems! great sound not loss there! I wouldnt mess with the window seals IMO.
