Rear view mirror: HELP ASAP
Hi. Here I am again in need for help. My brother called me, telling me he knoked off the driver side mirror and is hanging from the cord. I won't be at home until friday, and he needs to know at least how to unplug it, so my mom can use the car to work. Does he have to remove the door panel or tweeter assembly to un plug it? How can he do it? How many screws? How do I remove the tweeter assembly? Remember I dont have the car in front of me, so lots of details will help me to explain him better.
Thanks in advance for the help 8) |
I found this article about 92-99 Interior Front Door Panel Removal. Is it similar to 2000 + SSEi?

I cliped mine on my 97 on a UPS truck a while back.
(snow storm) when I went to ask the body shop what to do he Cut the wires with cutters. I was like WTF....... But when he gave me the new/used one ($60.00 installed)it had all the wires attatched. so cut it off so it wont scratch the paint |
Thank you guys for the advise. My dad ended up removing the whole panel to gain access to the harness and the screws that were still attatched to the door, Aparently, the previous owner had the same problem and fixed the mirror with epoxy, and thats why it breaked up so easily (of course, my brother had previously hit the mirror on a burger king drive thru before, but there wasn't any harm done). So guess what, my dad is fixing the mirror with epoxy again. It worked before for a while, and I hope it last some time. But at least is better than duct tape
