Default Fuel sending unit - how to replace?

:?: I've read numerous postings on failed fuel gauge sending units... I seem to have one. Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace on a 2000 SE? If anyone has any basic guidance, tips, or hazards to share they would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a real basic description. Remove all contents from your trunk including the floor mat. Locate the access plate on the right side in vicinity of backside of rear bench. After removal of access plate, you should be able to gain access to the fuel sender assembly on the top of fuel tank.

Make sure you only have 1/4 tank of fuel when you do it and still be prepared to syphon fuel out of the pump jug because it has to tilt to be removed and fuel will spill out if you don't syphon about a pint out.

Also, don't forget to depressurize the fuel system first before disconnecting the sending unit fuel lines.
