Default Angel Eye 55watt Driving Lights

I keep seeing these around on the forum, is it a simple kit that you simply put replace the original fog lights with these?

I looked around on Hella website, and did a google search. I'm looking to get a feel on everyone elses opinion.

I love mine... (check sig pic)!! In a week or so I plan on changing the bulb to * SilverStar for even better lighting. But, a night and day difference (no pun intended) between the 880'* and the h3'*.

You can get them at Pepboys for $59, I love mine as well, the H3 bulb owns the headlights, very bright, I also have the Silverstar h-3'* in to match the headlights which looks great.

My only beef is that I recently had the glass crack on one last week, was on for 7 months and lasted thru winter no problem, guessing a rock or something, anyway, I bought another set to replace the one with, the halo ring is little different in color than my last set, so I replaced both to make them match, saved the old one just in case.

Oh and I blew one SS h-3 bulb during the change over, so using one hella bulb in there, actuall looks little brighter than SS, still ordered another. Could take a pic of the color difference if anyone is intereseted.

Conclusion....ANGLE EYES RULE!!!!

Good to hear you fixed it.
From the appearance of the broken glass, it looked like plain glass instead of lexan plastic.
Have you considered any kind of protective lexan or light screen cover to protect those great looking bulbs :?:

I don't know about 2000+ but I had to bend my stock fog brackets a little bit to fit them...

You will also have to change/modify the wiring as there is now a dual position. One for the "eyes" and the other for the driving lights. How you wire those up is up to you... many different people have chosen different things to do...

Not me man, just drilled 2 holes in the angle eye bracket, traced them in the bumper cover and there you go. I'll take a pic of the install, very easy for us 2000'*+.

Wiring, ran off stock wiring and taped the angle eyes into the parking lights. no extra switches either.

I'd be interested in maybe finding some protective film to go over them, anybody have a link for something like that?

That looks good, but $18 is a little steep plus shipping, I'll keep looking around, maybe local somplace.
