I had the exact same problem. In my case the culprit was the left front door. Here'* a thread which may help. There are lots of pictures which may help as well. I've been dry as a bone since. Both my '02 SE and my '04 GXP have both had water leaks. Many others I've spoken to have as well. Sometimes they aren't detected but IMO this should be a routine check with these cars.

It is possible. The doors seem to be most common though. Plus it is a good place to start because the door panels are easily removed.

My problem is STILL in front of the front door where your foot wants to hang out with nothing else much to do. I've got to get pics since I know where it'* coming in (about 8" directly below the hood release by a rubber button plug seen only after peeling everything back from metal). I need to know how to get the water out before it comes in, and would even consider drilling a hole if I knew where to drill. I'd like to get this rear carpet back in the car where it belongs, and out of the house.

Um...I too have "WATER BEHIND THE DRIVER'* SEAT", which is the topic of discussion. There are several possible entry points, and by the time I'm able to get pics it will be a separate thread (timing).
