engine cover
Yeah so anyway I'm detailing my car today, and I get to the engine compartment, and I take off the engine cover.
Will it have any effect if I don't put it back on. The cover I removed is the one that says 3800 series II. I kinda like the look without it. Will the engine dissipate heat any faster without it.??
Thanks for the help,
Tim

Yes, keep it off. Your SC makes a crap load of heat, not just the engine. Better performance due to running cooler is nice.
You can keep it on in the winter though.

I have never heard of better performance due to keeping the engine heat shield I mean cover off. Car manufacturers take heed....

You may not necessarily get any noticable performance from the lack of cover. Your engine should be able to disapate heat better though.
