sticky throttle?
I traced the throttle cable and greased it all the way to the throttle body. The pedal seems to be sticky only the first time its pressed once the car is running. With the car running, it feels to me that the spring on the throttle body or something connecting there "sticks" when the gas pedal is pressed or the throttle cable is pulled. Any help would be appreciated... has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks in advance to any help.

It can't hurt to clean it. There is a procedure in the Techinfo on how to do this. One thing you can try is to disconnect the cables from it. Then twist the butterfly valve by hand and see if it feels like it'* still sticking or not.

The way you described it as sticky the first time pressed is a classic dirty throttle body.
Best way to clean the TB is to remove it by draining off a 1/4 gallon of coolant . Clean well with an old toothbrush and a can or two of sensor safe throttle body cleaner.
