Window Failure
I have a 2000 Bonni and have had my rear windows fail, where they just fall down unannounced. My dad has had two other bonni'*, one being a 2002, which have the exact same problem. The dealerships claim this is just one of those things and a new motor and window set later, it'* fixed. Has anyone else had this problem and are there other ways to either deal with it or to help keep this from taking place?

yeah, thanks, I found the other pages after I posted earlier today. Being my first day on it and having my car currently in the shop, I was quick to act before I went through the pages. Having talked with them, it has ended up being the regulator.
From other postings, they mention that this is common and something that is just lived with. We have had now 6 different occasions in the last 3 years where this has happend, cumulative of the 2000 and 2002 bonevilles.
Are there no solutions?.. I didn't see of anyone mentioning one.

I don't know of a solution to this irritating problem. Maybe someday NAPA or somebody else will make a good aftermarket regulator. Until then, I think GM will keep selling their piece of %^$# regulators for big bucks. The only solution (if you can call it that) that I have found is to buy the regulator from www.gmpartsdirect.com. At least the regulator is about half of what the dealer charges, but it still costs around $160. It'* an easy do-it yourself job to replace it.
