ATTN: 2003+ Owners
I was wondering how many 03+ owners have had problems with hood paint bubbling?
Did GM change part numbers for the window regulators, gaskets or make any other improvements for the 03+ cars?
I know the steering shaft was not fixed by 03, since the GXPs still have problems with it.
Obviously the seats are improved but are there any other reasons to go for an 03 when one can get a lower miles better condition 00 for the same price?

I can not tell you for sure about the regulators, but to the best of my knowledge they are the same design as the 00-02s.
It is rumored that the paint issue was cured for the 2002 model year, but there are some out there that still have blistering paint.
As for the seats, its all preference. i like the 00-02s better myself.

Not much really changed for the 2003 model year. The only major changes were the Aurora seats. Other than that, most parts are basically the same. All of the problem areas are still the same.

From a personal preference Hans... CFoote'* 2003 Aurora seats didn't seem overly comfy to me.. meanwhile I've driven Gumby and Toasty'* cars w/o thinking they weren't comfy.
Maybe it takes a certain person to enjoy the Aurora seat?

I remember Hans posting about back problems in the lounge so he might like the Aurora seats a bit more. They have some more back support in the lower back and seem to contour better. We've taken the bonnevilles and the Aurora on long road trips in the past (my mom, brother, and myself) and all three of us agreed that after a several hour drive without stopping our backs hurt more when getting out of the Bonne, especially our lower backs. But the 92-99 Bonneville seats.... I'd take those anyday over either the 2000+ Bonne or Aurora seats.

After 2000, some of the interior lighting (like on the doors) disappeared, and some standard equipment became options on the SSEi.
I know of one change in 2003, and that was to the pressure solenoid in the transmission, which has caused some issues.
I've heard complaints of the uncomfortable seats, but I do not find them to be that way...even on long trips.

There is a TSB for 00-02 seats for stiff lumbar springs (#02-08-50-009 11/04/2002). Apparently lighter replacement springs are available. Main thing in seats I miss from the 92-99 is the side bolsters when I am cornering hard.
