Default Popping when I turn the wheel - What is it?

While sitting still, when I turn the wheel, stop to stop, there is a popping sound. At first I thought intermediate shaft, went to use my service contract and the mechanic told me it wasn't the intermediate shaft it was a strut tower bracket. That is where the sound is coming from. So anyway.

How hard is the strut tower bracket to replace and should I replace both side and the struts whil I am doing it?

i just did the strut mount on mine not to hard to do its about $60 for the mount and you'll need to rent the spring compression tool from auto zone in out about 30 mins the lower bolts of the strut will not back out you have to pound them out and there are 3 bolts at the top

Did that fix the problem? I have shop that will do it for $35 a side labor, plus parts. I can do both sides with new struts for about $275.

yes it fixed it the car turns smooth as silk now like it use to $35 a side is a very good price unless your struts are toast (leaking) then you dont need the struts although they will have to come out anyways to get the strut mount the stock struts are monroe sensatrac so get the monroe strut mount will work a lot better with the stock struts

Thought if I was going to have the front end torn down, I might as well spend the money and put new struts in it. May replace the air shocks in the rear end too.
