just got a p1441 error code for my 02 bonneville anyone knows what that code means and the solution

On the front of the engine, above the rocker cover and on the lower intake manifold. Check the rubber tubes for cracks on those lines as well.

I always get those 2 mixed up. The top one is usually mounted to a big black plastic box usually located near the fuel tank while the bottom one mounts usually right on top of the engine somewhere.

the top one pictured is called a evap vent valve or vent solenoid. the purge valve is on top of the engine. mine doesnt look like that though there is two plastic lines coming out one side

Yea, you are right Justin, I now see where RockAuto lists both as purge valves, then I checked out the vent solenoid and seen the same pic as the first pic I posted.

My purge valve probably looks like yours, attaching an image of it.

Considering how much I trust rockauto'* images of products, and listings, I think I'd check to see which the car has for a purge valve, the one I just attached, or that funny looking one which is the second pic of my previous post.
Once they know which one they have I can get them a part number for it.
