steering wheel notchy feel?
Is this a common problem on bonnevilles? The local dealer says they have to disassemble the column and grease it. This has already been done once.

I just bought a 2004 SE and I noticed the same thing! It'* really bothering me. I figured since I just bought it from the dealership, they would have already performed any outstanding recalls on it? Should the recall completely resolve this problem? I'm worried if I go back, they'll just create other problems.

Steering
I also just purchased an '04 Bonnie. I noticed the same thing in the steering. I contacted the dealer and they drove over 50 miles to come pick up my car, fix it and another 50 miles to deliver it back to me. They also gave me a choice of picking out a diffrent car or getting my money back. Good service huh? Anyway, they installed a new steering shaft and hub assembly. However the manager informed me that there is a problem with some GM trucks as well. The factory is informing the dealerships to lube them up. According to the manager, this is a temporary fix. The problem will return after about 20,000 miles. That way, the dealer has to eat the cost of the repair because the car will then be out of warranty. Hopefully your dealer will be like the one I purchased mine from and they will fix it correctly.

As you turn the wheel, you will feel a distinct area where there is a clunk. You can feel it in the steering wheel. I could also feel it in the floor board while setting in the passenger seat.
