Default Instrument Cluster Change

Hello all, quick question. On my 2000 Bonneville, I replaced the cluster and the mileage is now different. It says I only have 10,000 miles and I need it to say 70000, where the car is actually at. Is there a way to have this done? Thanks in advance! Brad

All GM vehicles with a Digital Odometer can have the mileage changed using a scantool. I think the PCM has a "copy" of the mileage in it as well so the dealer can make sure that what you say the mileage is, is actually correct.

Well I called the local dealership here and they said that I would have to have them send it out and have it done, that it cannot be changed any other way. Are you sure you can change them this way? I would think you would be able to. What kind of scantool would do it? A Tech II? Thanks again, Brad
