Default Gear Ratio when replacing CV half-shaft assy.

I need to replace both cv axles on my 2001 bonneville. They are both seeping grease around the seals. I am also getting a slight vibration at highway speeds 65-80mph. After sourcing parts I noticed many parts stores require a gear ratio for finding the right part. one is 2.86 the other is 3.xx. This is in addition to asking whether it is SC or NA. I am wondering which applies to my car. It is a base model NA.

Also does the replacement process differ much from a 3100 Grand Prix? I have already done this on my other car.

Thank you.

Look at your RPO codes on the spare tire cover.

You will either have -

FQ3 - 2.86

or

F83 - 3.05
