Default 2002 Bonneville SSEI Climate Control Problem

Good Evening Everyone,
A few months back when i would turn my climate control to AUTO i would hear a loud buzz that would change with the fan RPM. After a quick pound on the dash board (lol) the sound went away and rarely comes back. Now over the last two weeks if i try to turn the climate system on, the fans do not come on. The climate control display shows that it is calling for fans, i can even override it, but no fans. Then usually after 5-10 minutes the fans will start and work. I can then even turn the car off, run into the gas station, start the car back up and they start right up. Its only when i start from a cold start. Im thinking my blower motor is going bad, what do you think?

Also, if i try to hit the inside air circulation button, it will light up, then 2-3 seconds later, blink once or twice, then shut off.

Strange problem......... Any help would be awesome!

The blower is under the passengerside of the dash, near the hump, near the firewall. Try tapping on it with your toe of your shoe when you turn the key to ON and the fans don't work. Many people have had the fans quit. One problem is the connector that carries the relatively high current burns contacts. Those can be cleaned. You can try unsnapping that and visually checking IF you find that wiggling the connector seems to help the fan make connection and start. If the toe tap on the motor housing itself seems to do the trick, it'* probably time for a new fan. Remove Hush panel under dash, three screws, the air tube that returns air to the motor rotor for cooling and it'* off.

[/QUOTE] This may be a separate problem with the electric actuator motors on the HVAC box. I recommend getting blowers working to eliminate that as a reason for the unit not allowing inside air to recirculate.
