Default SE Fog lights

I just wanted to confirm that the fog light bulbs on our 2000+ SE
can be changed from under the hood. We don't have to go under
the car. You just have to remove the headlights and you'll have
access to the 2 bolts that hold the fog lights in.

Just changed my fogs to silverstars. Looks good but not as bright as
the HID fogs I had in before I got from EBay.

Thats a good thing to know.
Wish the SSEi were as easy, have to go in from underneath and remove some trim to get at them :?

I installed SilverStar Fog lights (880) 6 weeks ago. I just had one burn out last week. I don't know what'* gone on with that. The OEM fogs lasted a couple years.

I know that you "can" get to them from under the car, which is good to know for reaiming them, but yes you can install them from the "top down". After installation you may need to re-aim them, and to do it using the top down method may be a pita since the fog lights will not power up without the headlights being there and turned on, and to remove-reconnect, re insert, remove again to adjust the fogs is going to be time consuming. I think you can remove the panel underneath to get to the back of the fog lights which is where the adjustment **** is for aiming.

Those h3 Silverstar Bulbs have had a horrible track record for most people here, especially in the OEM lenses.

But you don't have to disconnect the headlights. I just removed the 2 bolts that
hold the headlight in place and placed it out of the way but let it connected. Still
had enough room to remove the fog or reaim with the plastic butterfly type nut.

well ain't you special...I'll have to remember that, I don't like to leave stuff just hanging out all over the place or something....

The place where I bought the SilverStars sent me an RMA# today, so I'm going to ship the defective bulb back for a replacement. But to stay on topic, I would just assume crawl under the nose to work fog lights regardless of trim level. I really don't want the hassle of removing the headlight assemblies messing with those ball sockets etc. That'* just me though, if the SE'* can be worked top - down, go for it.
