2 Exhaust Options. What would you do.....????
Ok so I am going to order exhaust for my 2002 SSEI but I want to get some opinions before I do as I am still undecided on which one to do.
First option is dual Stainless Steel Magnaflow mufflers with tips on the mufflers. Here is the one I am looking at, there will be one one each side replacing the stock setup completly:
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/*...ne=main&id=765
The muffler is the same size as stock (14"). It looks like they can extend the stock pipe up and just put a bend in to get the muffler lined straight up to come out the back. They will just have to use a new hanger to hold it up there. I am just concerned that the muffler might sit kind of low and that is will look to "ricey" with the big tip. I have seen these on a Grand Prix GTP and they look great.
Second option is to just replace each stock muffler with a new Magnaflow one in the standard style. I would use this one:
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/*...ne=main&id=845
I would just have them cut out each stock muffler and replace each one with one of the mufflers above. I would then replace the stock tips with these:
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/*...ne=main&id=691
This option is a little more expensive to buy the parts but I think the dual tips look good also. I just can't decide which one to do. I really like the look of the tip on mufflers but I am concerned about getting them fitted in there without and major bends. Also the muffler will have to be pushed back pretty far since the tip is only 4" long or you won't see it. I don't know if there is enough room up there for it. The two new mufflers and two new tips would be a lot easier to install as I would just have then cut out the old and weld in the new. It will still look really good to with those dual tips on each side. It would look similar to the Corsa mufflers/tips that I really like.
Let me know what you think. I want to order the stuff today. Thanks.

Id say replace the muffler, but you can find possibly better tips to finish the pipe off. dual tips look good on the old bonnes[no pun intended] but on the 00+, I think maybe something more "streamlined" like the SLE and SSEi exhaust tips would look good. Only in chrome, not road rusted aluminum.

Thanks for the opinions. I think I am going to go with the second option. I am going to go with the dual tips also. Magnaflow does make a tip just like the stock SSEI ones. Here is a pic:

I am just not a big fan of the stock design of tips. I really like the look of the dual ones. I am ordering the stuff today but won't have installed for a month or so, gotta get more cash. I will post some pics when I do. Thanks again.

I painted my stock tips on my 2000 SSEi flat black with high heat rust paint and they look good against my white body. Also makes the rear end look a little meaner. I got the idea from looking at formula one cars as they paint they're tips black as well.

I had sanded/smoothed my tips on the inside and painted them with some high heat ceramic paint, but they still are a pain in the a$$ to clean up. It is very annoying to have dingy tips on an otherwise perfectly detailed vehicle. I'd just rather forego the aggrevation and get a set of dual outlet tips where the inside isn't very visible, but they still make a statement.
