There is no problem with the O2 sensor. 0742 TCC stuck on is the code I would worry about. That'* a transmission problem. Best get that problem fixed at the dealer.

The Torque converter needs to slip, that'* it'* job. Otherwise the engine works to hard. It'* something I would insist be fixed ASAP seeing you just bought the car. If they are unwilling to fix it they can take the car back. There should be a inspection list on the window sticker. The car should not have inspection. The car is going to buck when in lock up.

Ok I gt a 2000 bonneville se 120k everythng stock. I went bk to where I purchased the car frm an the mechanic gne tell me the only code he pulld up was the 02 sensor. An he says that'* not coverd under my warrenty n they tryin to charge me 100+ jus for that. Nw wit the TC is that sumthing dealing with the transmission cuz if so my trans is coverd bt hw will I convince them that if they only sayn dat 02 sensor. I also notice my gages gas,oil pressure, an thermostat movin the guy at autozone said it culd b anthr sensor culd that be true. And this may b the dumest ? bt where is the batt? this is my first pontiac an I can't seem to find it anywhere.

The O2 sensor is easy to change, perhaps $40 or $50 for the part. Charging for the scan is out of hand, autozone does it for free. With your gauges moving, that'* not a sensor, to many different gauges and each has a different sensor. A round problem is more likely the problem. The torque converter is part of the transmisstion. It'* the connection point between the engine and the trans. Take him for a ride and show him what'* up. To much relaying on computers, a good machanic can fix most problems without the computer. Your battery is under the rear seat.
