Move your shifter back to 2 or 1.. pull out the clip on the front of the shift **** with a needle nose pliers, and pull the **** off. there Is a bolt or 2 in the ashtray also, IIRC.
after that, it should lift up pretty easily.

That may be true for the 92-99, top portion only, but the 2k is a bit different.

if done it several times, but I don't have step by step instructions. you will need to remove the shifter **** like Bonnevillan noted, and you will also have to remove the dash trim to access the 4 bolts that hold the console to the dash. then remove the shifter plate. there are 4 bolts on the bottom of the console, all on the outside of the console. disconnect the wiring and shift cabes and it should come out.

why are you taking it out?

I don't have a sunroof :(

I was thinking at first it could be something wrong with my water shield ( plastic peice behind door panel ) but thats sealed good. And its not wet on the sides just on the floor of the driver side... Any other ideas Andrew?

i guess pulling the carpet is your best solution. have someone pour water all over the car while you watch inside with a flashlight.
