stupid mice!
My brother'* bonneville (2000 SLE) is crippled. He was going to get the remote starter installed but they couldn't do it because he had a mouse that had chewed through some wires under the engine cover. My question, is how much are we looking at damage wise? The wires are seen in the link below. They're all of the wires that are covered in the fresh electrical tape. We seperated them the best we could and taped them up. There'* a few inches of insulation stripped off each wire and some of the wires melted together from the shorting. any ideas on what to do? My guess is GM will want to replace all of those wire harnesses (huge bucks I assume.) any help would be great. I don't know if this is something I want to try and fix myself or not.
I can't believe the car still runs with all those wires melted and screwed up like that! THe ony symptom that something was wrong was the car running at 2,500 RPM @ 65 MPH.

Copy and paste.
Can't see much in the pic, are the wires the mouse chewed the ones going into the injector? If so I believe the injectors have a seperate harness, but I could be wrong.
The INS will probably total the car out for that, but I could be wrong. A new harness and installation is not a cheap part or job from the dealer.

It'* the wires going to the front middle injector, right front injector, wires going to some kid of sensor on the Fuel pressure regulator, and a mass of wires that run along next to the fuel lines.
