MAF fuse location for 2000 SSei
I have DTC p0102.
I have ordered a new maf (as cleaning the original maf did nothing) but I read in one of the threads to check the "maf fuse". Anyone had to change this before? Where is it located? Thanks |
I don't believe there is a MAF fuse.

mmmm...this thread mentions one (in the 2nd post) but maybe it's actually called something else?

I can't speak for Venom, but I don't recall every seeing a MAF fuse. Typically a P0102 code is a problem with the MAF sensor being bad, or unplugged, or something along those lines.

Ok, Thank you.

You could unplug your maf and see if the car idles better which would defintley let you know it's the maf and not the wiring connection
|
thanks a lot folks.
The new MAF I ordered arrived, I put it in and reset the CEL. Car runs smoother. I just drove to work (30 miles) and the light is still out. |
Good to hear. Did you check the wire on the old MAF? Was it broken?
|
No they looked ok but comparing the new to the old, the new sensor was nice and shiney silver color but the old one was not. I had sprayed electronic cleaner spray on it but it didn't look any different to me. I read that the delicate sensor parts should not be touched but later I read carefully polishing the sensor with a q-tip and rubbing alchol....I maybe should have tried that since it was not working anyway.
