why do i find two p/n's for the MAF on my 2000 SSEi (AC DELCO 213-1617 and 231-3428). what is the difference between the two? is one better than the other?

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's the difference in the number of pins of the MAF sensor/connector. :)

Hmmmm.....don't know. This is what I show for the GM part number, and it lists only one.

Yeah...they are not cheap. That's why the warnings to be very careful not to break the wires while cleaning. Obviously, they can be found for a cheaper price than at the dealer, but never what would be considered inexpensive.

the A-1 has one p/n the AC DELCO has two.

OK - I was hoping that the GM part number would give an answer toward what AC-Delco part number would cross reference with it. So, I went to the AC-Delco site and with that GM number it crossed with 213-1617. Hope that helps.

Glad to help out...and I hear what you're saying. I hate when I get the wrong part locally...worse when it's mail order. BTW - the same AC part number does apply to the remans, also.
