Lucas Oil Transmision Fix

I''ve seen posts of using this in reaction to a transmission problem. Has anyone used it as a preventative measure, or is it likely to cause more problems than it solves?

I'm running some right now in my trans with no problems. Just tossed it in at the last oil change for preventive measures/curiousity.

Thanks. I picked some up when I bought the fluid and filter to do the fluid change. I've heard varying opinions from "don't do it" to "it will help protect it". I thought before I threw it in, I'd see if anyone had already tried it. Guess I'l add it for the same reason...preventative/curiosity.

Generally speaking additives are not all they are cracked up to be. Most of the performance claims are marketing hype. I know Lucas is a decent name and the product works well. Link below is for the Lucas additive for a manual transmission.

I am not that familiar with automatic transmission additives but it seems to me that the recommended fluid should perform well and do the job.

If you are into oil and gas additives give these links a look. A lot of useful information from the Suzuki GS forum.
