I got ac delco iridium plugs and regular autozone wires on my 2000 pontiac Bonneville ssei .....how often shld i get a tune up and wht shld i get...??

On paper, and under the most ideal conditions, your iridium plugs will last you up to 100,000 miles.

However, like asking about sports, politics, religion, or the best brand of oil filter, this question has many possible answers. If you haven't modified your engine, and don't stomp on the gas 24/7, just follow the recommended intervals in the back of the manual and you should be fine.

For crazy drivers like me (or owners of older or modified engines), I start thinking about performing a tune-up every 50,000 miles. Spark plugs are dirt cheap, and a set of wires won't have you eating ramen noodles for a week (unless you're in college).

Wow didnt know it could last that long but My tune up feels fine, I just thght it was time but thanks...I guess i can save that money and put it on smthn else on the car cuz there is ALWAYS smthn else........

When someone says tune up I think of rotors, distributor caps, timing adjustment, plugs, wires, more timing adjustment, points, and so on. On your 2000 Bonneville, the only tune up you can do is change the plugs, wires and air filter. There are, however, maintenance items you can do to keep your car running well. I change my air filter once a year, and pull a couple of plugs to see how they look. When it does come time to change plugs (probably around 50,000 miles, I also change the fuel filter, the oil in the supercharger and possibly the serpintine belt. Somewhere around every other plug change I put in new O2 sensors and change the oil and filter in the transmission.

In other words, its not about tune up, its about routine maintenance when it comes to keeping your car running well.

I changedknow my superchargerr oil 2 monthsn ago. What kinda oil u got in your supercharger.../?? I just got a new trans, changed the fuel filter and pcv valve. I'm probably gonna change the air filter.....any brand recommendations, i got walmarts fram in now....

I change my plugs each year, I use autolite copper, the only thing I will use on a supercharged engine. About $9 for all 6 plugs. At the very least, pull the plugs and inspect them once a year. If they look worn, or covered in black, replace them. Plugs can tell you a lot about your engine, but so few people even look anymore.
