let me know if im on the right track on my repairs. first of all i had the car for a week and the cam sensor went, didnt even give me a code. just would start.

only my sunroof and driver door worked. tore up the seat and carpet found a broken wire and a bad caroaded slpicer. fixed those last night now everything on the drivers side works. even the dome lights when back door is opened. still have no idea about the other side.....
Any ideas

also if i dont turn off the trac con when i start driving and when i slow down some times the car will bog" rpms drop, lights dim" but i shut it off all is fine. I also have a service stability soon coming on. I can get a good scanner and what not to find the problem i hope. but any ideas????

just found the tread about the water leak, will take care of that soon, any good tips on doing this?

long list i know. also i dont know if this has to do with the wiring for the passenger side of the car but since the trunk button is in the glove box i have a feeling. my trunk will only open with the key. there is an aftermarket remote starter on it and even that wont open the trunk. call me lazy but i love options, thats why i got the ssei

your service stability problem is usually caused by a bad height sensor, the optical eye in the steering colum and very rarely by your 2 yaw sensors, another thing you may want to have checked is your TCC selinoid the 2000 were famous for those may also be kicking the stability system.

the water leak is pretty involved you have to drop the headliner to access your drain tubes and blow them out with an aircompressor also check in the trunk the rear drain hoses like to pop back into the trunk area and dump your water there

Your water leak can come from several locations. If you have a sunroof, the easiest potential source of water leaks to check is the sunroof drain tubes. There are 4 drain holes in the sunroof tray, one in each corner. One at a time, pour water down each of the drain holes. If the water drains out to the road in the wheelwell of the closest wheel, the drains are clear. If not, come back and tell us and we will tell you the next step.

The next potential leak area is through the door trim panels. There is a plastic sheet behind the door trim panel that is sealed with butyl tape to the door inner sheet metal. Check the integrity of that seal all the around the perimeter of that plastic sheet. You have to pull the door trim panels to get at this. Let us know if you need more direction on how to remove the door trim panels.

i have had the seats out and the leak seems to be on the left rear door area. there was alot of water in there and it always pools up there. but ill also check the truck, are they on the sides behind the carpit trim???
there is also a crack in my center "reflector, top corner" i pulled the bottom plugs out of the trunk and that seemed to help but i still have water coming in. but i think its pooling up between the lens and clear in it and when i open it in runs in. but that has noting to do with the water behind my seat.

thanks for the door panel tip but i have had the door panels off and i was shocked how well they looked, i mean compared to my 88. that thing was like window plastic.

I had the left rear door water pool going on. Diagnosed in the rain for many months and could not find it. During one rain I pulled the driver door plastic floor trim (where the door meats floor and the carpet) after reading a post here. Very easy to remove. There I saw a "hidden river" of water going from the front door, under this trim, to a unibody channel that went directly to the left rear floor area. Could not believe it. So easy to see and yet I never looked. If this has been happening for a while, you should have stains in the carpet under this plastic panel which may clearly id the problem. The front carpet never got wet- yet he water was going right underneath the front carpet and pooling up on the left rear passenger carpet.

yes they are on the sides of the trunk behind the carpet. you may have to reach up under the car behind the rear fascia to check it the hoses are poking out

My previous advice still stands. Focus on the left front door and the left front drain.
