I will be complaining to my dealer as soon as summer hits. I have the exact same corrosion, only its on the under side of the hood. The paint is about ready to flake off and I want a replacement hood courtesy of GM! There is really no excuse for the 'wrong primer'. If they have a problem, they should honor their obligation to the customers.
By the way, aluminum does not 'rust' in the typical sense of what rust is. It will corrode and many times, not all the way through as the corrosion creates an aluminum oxide layer that is many times harder and more resistant to further corrosion than the base aluminum is. It will just fester on the surface. In the sense of a corrosion warranty, what is happening should be covered because it is not the result of improper maintenance in any way, but rather a manufacturing defect that has caused the problem.

If its got 99k on it STOP DRIVING IT! Take it to the dealer and get it fixed before it hits 100k or they aren't gonna do **** about it.
My moms SSEi started doing the same thing at around 30k or so. We took it to the dealer and they said they wouldn't fix it. So about 95,000 came around and it was getting BAD. So my dad called up the dealer we bought his GTP at (a different dealer) and they said they would take a look at it. So the car had 98k on it when we brought it in to get it looked at, and they fixed it right there because it hadn't hit the 100k mark which is when the rust warranty runs out, and apparently even though it was on aluminum it was considered rust??? Its at 125k and its just starting again, but it would've been a lot worse if we wouldn't have gotten it fixed at 98k. You just have to find the right dealer thats all. Obviously its a common problem.
