Default ignition hassles

first off i had a bad miss was no spark on the 1/4 coil so tryed a used coil and had spark ran ok for about 3 weeks then a miss again found a crack down the side of the 1/4 coil i had put on so replaced it with another known good one but have an intermittant spark jumping from the wire to the coil. assuming a bad wire i am trying to replace the #4 wire but cant get it off of plug would like to give her new plugs and wires but cant get at them or if i can touch them cant get the wire to come off of plug tryed the twist-turn pull but wont budge. any tricks or things that need to be removed to get at these rear demons?

The bracket that holds on the engine cover can be moved out of the way by taking out the two nuts that hold it on. This should give you a good amount of room to get back there and brace yourself. You will want to try not to lean on the top of the engine if you can.

The angle and the fact that you can't get any leverage back there makes it tough to get stuck boots off of plugs. When you finally do get them off, put some dielectric greases in the new wire boots. It will make it so much easier next time through.
