Default help ID'ing some tubes on engine, 01 LSE

Changed the thermostat yesterday, and in the process I managed to break two plastic tubes. I have no idea what the are or what they do. Two very thin rigid (as in brittle) black plastic tubes that run along above the top of the front valve cover. On the left side they connect to two different locations, not sure what exactly (apologies for not being more engine savvy). On the right side they both do a 90 degree turn near the tips and plug into a single hard rubber boot-like thing about fingertip size immediately above the thermostat. I didn't even notice they were broken until I was putting the new thermostat in. I guess I whacked them taking the old one out. I tried using some epoxy to glue them back together but I doubt that'* working. Car seems to be running fine, though, at the moment. They both broke where they go into the little boot, right above the thermostat.

Any idea what these are? I've tried rockauto and gmpartsdirect but no luck finding them.

Those are vacuum lines. Go to a local autoparts like autozone and pick up a generic vacuum line kit. Then cut what you need and replace the broken lines.

If you don't want to mess around making new ones call Morad Parts Company and they can send you a complete set that I'm sure they have around

www.moradpartscompany.com look there and give them a call

Thanks to both of you. I'm amazed at how fragile the lines are, or maybe at how careless I was!

I'll try to fab up some new ones first with generic parts. The single connector the lines converge into on the one end may be tough, the existing lines broke right where they go into it, not enough sticking out to slip another line over.

Does ID of the replacement lines make a big difference in this case?

When they get old they break easy, I broke one by barely moving it

you just want a tight fit on there so you don't have any leaks

So the part that connects to the connector at the throttle body broke? for that you might need to get the actual part beacuse a leak there is gonna be big and make it run bad
