Instrument Cluster: Will it Work???

Does anyone know if a 2001 Instrument Cluster P/N 09391512 will work in my 2000 SSEi? This looks like the same SSEi cluster w/ DIC that I have in my car now...just a year newer. My IC backlights are failing, and I found the 2001 unit from a salvage yard.

Thanx/

Jim

Should be the same cluster from 2000 thru at least 2002 according to my book.

Let me know if that doesn't pan out. I have one available at a local wrecker from a 2000 SSEi. Windshield was broken, car has been there 3 years, but it looks only dusty, not water damaged.

Yes it will work same schematic for both years so imagine same part #?
curious too know what to got the cluster for, gm parts direct does not have one.
There must be away to break in and get at those lights, I would like to try but need a spare unit to tinker with.

Thanks for the replies. As it turns out, the one i thought I had didn't come from a SSEi, so no deal. The hunt continues.....

Just found a little oops, I have the canadian version the speedo goes to 220 on mine for the metric Kmh. So there is more than one part # but only one schematic, the pcm must control the scaling?

Jim, check your PM's. I have a price you won't believe.
