Slide in rain . . . now alignment is off???
So I was coming around a curve going home doing about 35 and my car fish-tailed (it was raining and I hit a small puddle). Although I was not going fast, the fish-tail was hard enough that my rear passenger tire slammed the curb pretty good. I gained control after that and I proceeded to check the car for damage. There was absolutely no visual damage to the car on the outside, including the rim itself.
Here is the problem . . . . when I began driving again the alignment was off. I had to turn my slightly to the right and if I held the wheel straight the car pulled to the left. I was already in need of both front outer tie rods but my alignment was ok.
I'm not to familiar with the rear tie rods but I gave them a look over and they dont look bent or damaged. neither do the front ones. Also the tire that hit the curb appears to be slightly angled in at the top, although that could be in my mind since I an very frustrated right now.
So my question is, could the rear tire throw the alignment off and if not what could cause the alignment to be thrown off from me losing control of the vehicle? Obviously I need to get another alignment but I want to be sure that nothing else is damaged.
Thanks
