Hi and Welcome to the Bonneville Forum!
Please add your year and trim of your vehicle to your signature line. That way when you start asking questions in other areas of the forum, we all have a better idea on how to assist you. Click on "Quick Links" above, go down to "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit your Signature" It'* pretty straight forward from there.
With the year and miles on your car, you no longer have any warranty - unless of course you bought an extended-extended warranty.

Many people have had luck in going to a local GM dealer, explaining the issue, and sometimes if it'* your lucky day, they will take care of it at no charge.
It'* a common problem on the 00+ and many dealers are aware of this. It'* worth a shot. Worst they can say is no
