High Oil Pressure Gauge

High Oil Pressure Gauge
My 2002 Bonneville SSEi has 105,000 miles on it. Original Motor and original transmission. I recently just changed the spark plugs and wires as well as put in a new fuel injector. My oil pressure gage has been normal until yesterday and it was almost all the way to the 120 max... What does this mean? When I was getting my fuel injector replaced they noticed a code in the transmission dealing with something about high pressure? Not sure what the code was but was wondering if it was related to this. Some forums talk about replacing a certain valve?
Any help please?
I hope my transmission isn't about to die.

the trans code is probably P1811 do a search around here and you'll see it quite commonly caused by a PCS/EPC soleniod. Very common on our transmissions.
The pressure issue. Likely it'* an oil pressure sender going bad on you. Since these are also a common issue in your year, I'd suggest shotgunning a new one on.

If all it is a failing oil pressure sender, then sure no problem there. when i first got my ssei it had a bad sender. i didnt replace until maybe 6 months later. car ran fine up until then. but the sender itself is not expensive and if you can find your oil filter you can find the oil pressure senser, which means you can change it yourself. i would suggest changing it just rule it out as an issue. if you change it and your gauge reads normal then problem solved if not, now you know for sure something else is wrong.

Hey guys, I have 95 ssei and my gauge fluctuates. High pressure when cold and after oil warms up it drops down almost to red at idle. I have replaced the sending unit twice so doubt that is the problem. Any other ideas?

Would be a good idea to put a manual gauge on it first to eliminate all that is electrical and deal straight with the engine first. Possibly have a bearing clearance issue but if a heavier weight oil is used and it improves then would be a good option for a while. It doesnt need much pressure to live. Think minimums are something like 5 psi @ hot idle. Obviously we all want more
